I’ve had some lovely feedback from our 2026 Yoga Holiday in Dalyan, Turkey.
What a wonderful Yoga Retreat! A pleasant pension in a beautiful setting right on the river, with helpful friendly staff and amazing food. A joyous but intense group experience, that we will remember forever. Our first full on yoga holiday – but not our last.

The setting for our week was beautiful, river swimming, delicious food and friendly hosts. Semra’s commitment to yoga and her inclusive approach inspired us all. Everyone felt part of a warm supportive community. We could do this! (modified poses or not)
I returned home with reduced stress levels, a (slightly) more flexible 70-plus body and new friends – this yoga week is totally addictive!

My first experience of a yoga holiday, the week was well balanced with first class yoga sessions, free time, organised boat trips and social time with the group. Every detail was thoughtfully organised by Semra.
Dalyan and the setting of the small family run hotel was so picturesque. Upon returning we felt extremely well nourished in mind and body, it was an incredible reset, we can’t wait to go again!

The yoga week with Semra was a special experience in many ways. The pension accommodation was basic but the food absolute delicious. The yoga practice twice a day was fantastic. Especially helpful was having time to concentrate on understanding and honing various poses. Thank you Semra.

The location was beautiful, nestled on the banks of the river at Dalyan, surrounded by mountains and opposite ancient tombs carved into the cliff face millennia previously. Classes were given in two sessions, early morning and late afternoon allowing plenty of time to explore the area on foot or by boat. The week together was also a brilliant opportunity to get to know, rather better, faces familiar from our local classes in a relaxed and convivial setting.
Above all, it has to be said that Semra is not only a brilliant Iyengar yoga teacher, both attentive and conscientious, but a generous host with a gift for making sure everyone feels welcome.

I returned from the Dalyan yoga week feeling really uplifted, both in mood and in body. The morning classes broke my usual, rather lazy, home routine and it was really beautiful watching the sun creep higher over the river while we gently stretched our limbs, guided expertly by Semra. Birds were singing and the water was glimmering as we sat down under the shade,to partake of the delicious daily buffet breakfast. Eggs, cheeses, salads, yogurts, fruit…a plentiful array! The food throughout the week was top quality and the hotel staff consistently cheerful and friendly. Evening yoga helped us wind down after days spent walking local ruins, exploring the area, inclusive boat trips or having a hamman bath experience!
Semra managed to keep an eye on us all in class and I feel that she got us to our best selves. A great week, can’t wait to do it again for a third time!
